We take our wood very seriously. From lumber selection to sanding, staining and finishing, we are focused on producing a durable finish that will provide you with years of service.
Sanding, Staining and Finishing Facts
The finishing process for our chairs begins before they are assembled. Every design is analyzed and components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies are sanded first by machine and finally by hand to prepare a surface that will be uniform and ready to accept stain and finish without flaw.
Stains are hand rubbed for uniformity and maximum wood penetration. Every piece then goes through a two-stage sealing and finishing process to produce a tough, durable finish that looks great and will last for years. Many of our customers have chairs that have been in continuous service for more than 15 years.

On the rare occasion when none of our 16 standard finishes will work, let us custom match a color for you. All we need is a small sample of the color you’re looking for. Metal Finishes Overview
Strong, durable steel chair frames deserve the best metal finishes available. Most Westin-Nielsen chairs are available in powder coat finishes. Chrome plating available on many style, consult factory for price.
